The situation of Turkey’s economy and the specific characteristics of the country’s market were analyzed in this session. Referring to Turkey’s strategic position, Dr. Kanadli explained the country’s role as an important trade hub and transit corridor in the region and outlined the potential for bilateral cooperation between Iran and Turkey.

The presentation of up-to-date statistics on Turkey’s imports and exports and an examination of important goods in the two countries’ trade baskets were other parts of the workshop. Investment opportunities in various sectors of the Turkish economy, the presentation of high-demand and trending products in the country’s market, and tax and tariff incentives for foreign investors were also among the topics welcomed by the participants in the workshop.
